Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the result. Our own servers do not keep a copy of that query. If you contact us, the message and the details you choose to include are used to answer it.
Routine Technical Logs
Hosting services may record an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and time stamps. Aggregate counts help identify broken links and heavily used material. Cookies or related tools may support basic analytics or advertising measurement when those services are enabled.
How Information Is Used
Technical information is used to operate the pages, repair faults, measure traffic, and improve the reference. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual user profiles are not created here.
External Record Links
Links lead to county and state portals, libraries, archives, and sponsored search tools. Once a visitor leaves these pages, the destination’s privacy policy controls the information submitted there. Review that policy before using an outside form.
Who Can Receive It
Hosting and site-support vendors may process ordinary server logs. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the technical data described above. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires it, and otherwise is kept within the purposes stated here.
Security and Retention
The pages use an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational needs described above. Because there are no visitor accounts, this reference does not hold a password or personal profile for a visitor.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information, contact us so it can be removed.
Your California Privacy Choices
California’s Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, is codified at Civil Code §§1798.100 and following. Depending on eligibility, a California resident may request access, correction, deletion, or limits on certain uses of personal information, including an opt-out of sale or sharing. Because this reference retains little, a request usually concerns a contact message or technical log. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by California state, county, or city offices remain under the control of their custodians.
Policy Changes
A revised policy will appear on this page with the new wording. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
